The JANUS - PNB-PLM is a hands-free elevator emergency phone with integrated Phone Line Monitoring (PLM), designed to help meet ASME / B44 2009 and 2010 code requirements. This unit is manufactured by EMS (Emergency Monitoring Systems) and marketed under the Janus label. It mounts behind the car operating panel (COP) and includes a 2-foot external LED indicator. When used with a separate Line Monitor Alert (LMA) device, the PLM feature triggers a contact closure if the phone line is lost—ensuring code-driven elevator safety compliance.
